dit document legt uit hoe je de configuratie van een ESXi server backup
===== backup=====
  * [[vmware:ssh_activeren_vanuit_esxi_host|activeer SSH op je ESXi host]]
  * meld aan als gebruiker root
  * voer uit: <code>vim-cmd hostsvc/firmware/backup_config
</code>
  * **download** het bestand op: ''<nowiki>https://*/downloads/52cf9b89-4915-756ef-a727-65e061e9193d/configBundle-ESXi sever.tgz</nowiki>''
  * zoek het bestand: <code>find / -name '*.tgz' -exec ls -al {} \;</code>
  * verwijder het bestand

===== restore =====
  * meld aan op ESXI host als gebruiker root
  * **Storage > Datastore browser**
  * **local virtual machines, Upload**
  * blader naar je backup bestand
  * **Close**
  * SSH naar je ESXI host
  * voer uit: <code>cd /vmfs/volumes/local\ virtual\ machines
vim-cmd hostsvc/firmware/backup_config ./configBundle.tgz</code>
