====== Qnap firmware reflash======

===== context=====
dit document beschrijft hoe je een Qnap NAS herflasht met de oorspronkelijke firmware.\\ Enkel uit te voeren als de NAS op geen enkele manier meer overeind te krijgen is. 
<bootnote>Helaas kon ik niet alles reproduceren: halverwege een firmware upgrade raakte [[changelogs:lochnas|lochnas]]helemaal van streek en was niet meer te reanimeren.</bootnote>

===== voorbereiding=====
  - zoek de image voor [[https://wiki.qnap.com/wiki/Firmware_Recovery|je model]] op.
  - download de **ISO** naar de ESXi ISO **datastore**. 
  - meld aan op ESXi:
    - name: Qnap Recovery
    - OS: Linux, **Ubuntu Linux (64bit)**
    - RAM: 512Mb
    - disk: 16Gb
    - voeg de VM toe aan het vlan 1921 (qnaprestore) 
    - verwijs de DVD naar de ISO 
    - start de VM
  - verbind je Qnap met het vlan 1921 
  - start de nas en houdt de resetknop gedurende 10 seconden ingedrukt. \\ nu wordt een TFTP-sessie opgezet met de qnap VM en wordt de correcte firmware gedownload en geinstalleerd (zie: [[qnap:reflash_qnap_firmware#screenshots|screenshots]])
  - nadat de nas werd gereflashed, hoor je een lange PIEPtoon en wordt de nas herstart
  - sluit de NAS nu aan op het vlan installatie
  - zoek het IP adres op de DHCP server en surf naar dat adres
  - voer nu de verdere installatie uit.
