dit document beschrijft de installatie van **DS918+**, een four-bay Synology NAS

===== installatie=====
  - eerste case open klikken, tray eruit, sliders eruit schuiven, hard disk erop leggen, vastklikken met sliders, in case plaatsen: DONE! 
  - aansluiten op stroom, LAN op [[changelogs:switch8b|switch8b]]
  - browser openen op dynamic ip 
  - kies: **Set up**, **Install now**
  - sit back ... {{ :synology:synologyinstall.png?600 |}}
  - na herstart, maak je een **servernaam** en **admin** account aan
  - **Quickconnect**: Skip this step
  - **recommended packages**: Skip this step
  - **Go**

===== configuratie =====
  - stel een **vast ip** adres in en registreer in DNS
  - voeg [[synology:NAS toevoegen aan Windows domein|NAS toe aan Windows AD]]
  - stel Regional Settings correct in: Europe/Brussels
  - **File services** > **SMB/AFP/NFS**: schakel **AFP** uit. 
  - **Update & Restore** > **Configuration Backup**: **Back up configuration**
